The PMP(R) Certification Exam

PMP® Certification:  While the PMP(R) exam may vary its emphasis from time to time, and it may fluctuate to address the knowledge and skills wanted by companies; however, exam questions will always fall within the exam outline. The current exam started 1/2/2021.  It is often referred to as the 2021 exam because it started in 2021. This exam contains a lot of information on Agile, Hybrid and Predictive Project management. Agile is incremental and iterative and Predictive Lifecycles can also be incremental and interactive, while Predictive. An Agile project within the bounds of a Predictive Lifecycle (Hybrid Project) needs to fall within the constraints of Scope, Schedule, and Costs; however, there can be more flexibility within a Predictive Incremental Lifecycle for the agile portion of a project because much of the Incremental Lifecycle can be discovery or "To Be Determined," which is why the Predictive Incremental Lifecycle can be chosen for a project.

Agile and hybrid knowledge skills are being taught for the 2021 PMP(R) Exam. This is because Hybrid Project Management is with us for good. Agile Project Management is still being chosen for software development, Predictive (Traditional, Waterfall) Project Management is still be used for lots of projects where Scope, Schedule & Costs are planned upfront. Companies generally insist that project managers should be trained in all things project management.

Also consider that the number of calculation questions, quality, risk, or other types of questions may vary from time to time.  Don’t be afraid of these areas.  You will have lots of practice on the fundamentals and foundations of project management as well as questions categorized by the subject of Agile, Predictive of Hybrid Project management so you can get familiar with project management scenarios and situations.  Visit our website for all things PMP® Certification, and other related project management information.

PMP Certification - what is the importance of quiz practice

Some may think that PMP Online Quiz practice is unnecessary.  We find that people who sit in our PMP Certification with Exam Prep class value them substantially.

About Quiz Practice
Why must I start the quiz practice after class? Which answer is the best answer?

A. It is best to do the quiz practice to see if I know the information yet
B. It is best to do the quiz practice in order to learn the information
C. If I am only getting 50% correct I should study more first
D. It is more important for trainees to learn their way because they have a history of how they learn best

Send your answer to me:  neredahaque@smartpathllc.com and I will send you the best answer.  Before you do so think about why 3 answers are not the best answers and why the best answer is best.

Tip:  The PMP is a psychometric exam.

Become PMP® Certified through Understanding & Practice

Understanding concepts, associations and connections, capturing the big picture and how processes flow, pinpointing the context and keywords are all key to passing the PMP® Exam.  See all PMP certification with Prep methods, onsite training or Live Online training.

The PMP Exam is both very hard and very easy.  It's likely to be laborious and difficult doing it the way that some insist on learning.  Try our proven methods and the information will fall into place.

Remember this:
1.  Your experience only counts for PMP exam approval.  It doesn't necessarily help you pass the Exam; however, PMI validates your knowledge and experience once you pass the PMP Exam by awarding you the PMP Certification.  Your knowledge needs to falls within the PMP Exam Outline in order for you to pass the PMP Exam, so your fast experience and knowledge may not be able to be applied when you are answering the PMP Exam questions.
2.  If you memorize, it will not help you unless you understand the meaning of what you have memorized.  Even then it may take you too long to answer all of the exam questions.
3.  You cannot apply what you cram.  You can apply what you understand.

At SmartPath LLC we seek to understand the concepts, capture the big project management picture: how the processes flow, why you need a process, what may go wrong in a process, what may go wrong if you forgot to do a process, how a process is connected to another process, what you need to do a process, what task is assigned to the process, and what does the process produce. Understanding these concepts, you can pick out the best answer because you can pinpoint the context or keywords that illuminates the answer.

Importance of PMP® Certification Training with Exam Prep

People looking for PMP® Certification training with Prep should consider their training benefits.  Benefits at SmartPath LLC are:

(1) Free unlimited resitting for up to 6 months either onsite or via 100% Live Video Conference.  Reviewing online replays is not as good.  You need to be able to ask questions and the instructor needs to ask you questions also in order to measure your understanding
(2) Customized materials - most "off the shelf" training does not keep up with industry best practices that can float within the PMP Exam outline.  SmartPath LLC does all of their own research.
(3) Online Quiz practice using any device that comes free for 30 days with unlimited usage available when you need it. We personally prefer our trainees to use their Smart Phone devices to do their quiz practice.  This method is convenient, smart use of your spare time, etc.  One person who recently passed the PMP exam did most of his practice on the metro going to and from work daily.  Do not pick a training company that does not provide you online quiz practice as it's important for interactive and simulated learning - also helps increase your speed in answering questions and helps you measure your progress.  SmartPath LLC learners do the quiz practice to learn.
(4) Enough Quiz Practice Variety - Different formats, different exam types, progressively more difficult so you can improve your cognitive skills.
(5) All Exam Guidance and Prep should be in your materials with a checklist of what you need to know with an Exam Visibility Board for further resource.
(6) Prep Exercises - that helps you increase project visibility, process connections, understanding, synonyms, uses where applicable, and meaning.
(7) Daily Quiz Practice in your book for class discussion
(8) Coaching:  You should be able to ask questions after the training is over and while you are practicing for the exam. At SmartPath LLC we have two PMP certified trainers available to answer your questions using email or phone calls.  People who stay in touch with their trainers are less likely to fail as they are accepting feedback that helps them focus on areas where they may be weaker.
(9) Pass Guarantee for 3rd exam payment:  How it works:  we give you a great deal on your class and you pay for your first exam. If you fail your first exam, you also pay for your second exam.  However, if you finished your first exam and all quiz practice within 30 days of your original class or  a "do it again" class, and if you retook all of your quiz practice before the 2nd exam again, then we will pay for your third exam provided that it's within 12 months of your PMP Exam approval.  You need to notify us of your progress so we can help prevent all failures and make provision for the third exam payment on your behalf.  Slower learners are bypass the pass guarantee as they prefer to resit as many times as needed for them to feel comfortable with the materials.

See all available PMP Certification options including Government Pricing and more. Onsite training in Washington, DC and Bellevue WA or Live Online anywhere in the US.
